About GPJ Photography

GPJ Photography is a New York City photography studio that pioneered the shift to photojournalistic, documentary-style wedding and event photography. We are an innovative, modern studio that pushes the field forward while respecting and preserving the unique beauty and authenticity of traditional forms and textures.

Why Choose us?

Distinguished by a unique, cinematic approach and a storyteller’s eye for detail, we have always been inspired by one simple truth: life’s great moments are defined not only by their subjects, but also by the effect they have on those who share them. This passion for the power of photography to capture the honest emotion of our clients’ events is evident from your first meeting and every visit to our studio.

GPJ team did a wonderful job photographing our wedding day. In our search for a photographer to travel to Ireland to photograph our destination wedding, we were looking for someone who could capture unexpected moments in a photojournalistic way.

My husband and I live in Australia and hired GPJ as our wedding photographer from abroad. They were very responsive over email and easy to talk to when I arrived in NYC. Planning from Australia was difficult but they made the process seamless.

My new-husband and I hired GPJ in our search to find a sophisticated and creative “non-wedding” wedding photographer. We had high expectations from the start given their strong portfolio and beautiful editorial work. When we received the link to our online wedding gallery, there was no question we made the right decision.

We are delighted with GPJ. We came to them looking for a uniquely talented creative persons who would set our wedding photography and videography apart from the average New York wedding-specialists scene. We couldn’t have made a better choice.

"Nobody looks at the label on your wedding dress. If you look through wedding magazines and see a dress you like, you can clip it out, go buy fabric, and pay a seamstress to copy that design for you. Way cheaper than Vera Wang."
